This particular lesson will focus on unique article marketing. I will cover two very important areas of unique article marketing. If you are serious about article marketing submitting unique articles is a must. If you just submit the same article to different sites you’re articles will not be as effective or get the traffic you could achieve with unique articles. Read on for my simple but very powerful tips.

What is unique article marketing? The answer is quite simple. It is when you submit unique articles to the article directories, websites, and blogs. Simple enough right! Well you came to this article marketing lesson site to learn more than that! Unique article marketing is simple but it is a tad bit more than just submitting unique articles to websites. Let me explain further.

Unique articles must not be basically the same article with just a few words changed here and there. It must contain more unique content than that. The search engines can easily detect if you’re articles are basically the same. This is why you must make your articles unique.

Your article titles must be unique. This is very important. I strongly suggest a keyword tool to help you put keywords in your article titles. There are many free keyword tool sites and some that charge a fee but they are well worth it. You can have a great unique article but your readers must be able to find you. I also suggest long tailed keywords. They are more effective most of the time because the competition is so stiff for the top keywords. The main point make each title relevant to your article and include different keywords in each title.

Here is another key unique article marketing strategy. Maake articles at least 30% unique. Simple enough. It will take longer to make your articles unique but well worth the time. When your articles get submitted you may have different ones show up in the search engines. How awesome and would that be. Imagine seeing multiple domains near the top of the search engine

Here is a often overlooked unique article marketing strategy. You must and I repeat must make your resource boxes unique. By this I mean use different keywords and domain names in them. What this means is to insert different domains related to your articles in your resource boxes. When you do this you will help the different domains get backlinks which will drive your sites higher up the rankings.

Thank you for reading my unique article marketing online tips. I recommend using a article submitter that will mass submit your articles to the article directories in unique format. I also suggest not mass submitting your articles to hundreds of sites overnight with these services. A recommended submission of 10-20 unique articles a day may get you great results. I use the Unique Article Wizard because it makes my articles unique, submits them to hundreds of article directories, and also gives you the ability to submit your articles in a natural way to the number of sites you select daily. The Unique Article Wizard gives me tons of backlinks to my sites generating more web traffic.

10 Article Writing Keys For Newbies

This article on the 10 (no, 11… yes, 11) tips for newbies is not written from the catbird seat point of view of the article host or database manager. Rather it is by and from the perspective of an author who remembers the early misgivings. It is written especially for the beginning article writer. The Tennessee Mountain Man has written and submitted hundreds of articles for publication to thousands of article hosts and database managers and still finds Article Writing his nemesis.

1. Necessity vs Desire:

Articles and Blogs are necessary in today’s scheme of search engine indexing. Not what the newbie wants to hear. Just remember what the Bible says, “there has nothing over taken you that is not common to man”. That’s right! All of us hate article and Blog writing at times, and some of us dread the journey to pen and paper (or keyboard as the case may be) all the time. Many a webmaster would call them “a necessary evil” as they are not generally anyone’s best liked house keeping chores.

2. Just Start, It Gets Easier:

First it is sometimes difficult to get a subject or theme and to get the first couple of lines scribbled down. The Tennessee Mountain Man knows authors who literally get sick thinking about the process. Lighten up. Once an author has a starting point and gets passed the initial thoughts, article and Blog writing usually goes fairly smoothly.

The main thing is that you get started. Pick a subject you know something about and just start. You will be pleasantly surprised at just how easily ideasflow. Don’t assume everyone knows what you know. They don’t. Will Rogers once said, “all men are ignorant, just on different subjects”. And, so it is!

3. Good vs Perfection:

Your old English comp professor is not looking over your shoulder. This paper does not have to be perfect. That is not to say it does not have to be on point or to say that it does not have to be correct. It does or at least it should be. But, perfection is not the goal and is, in fact, seldom possible. Too much detail and you run the risk of losing your reader on several levels. Too long and most readers simply don’t have the time or interest to wade through the material regardless of how important it is.

4. Blog Length vs Article Length:

Most publishers want a minimum of six hundred (600) words per article – some will let you slide with four hundred (400) words. Blogs can be much smaller. Blogs can and maybe should support appropriate pictures and embedded links.

Just don’t over do it. Too gaudy or too slow to load and you have wasted your time, ticked off a potential reader, and probably upset a host who can ban you from their publications. Articles, on the other hand, typically cannot carry these extra touches according to the requirements of most publishers.

5. Format:

Prepare your article in American Standard Code for Information Interchange (ASCII) format. There are many tools from which to choose to get the job done. A search for ‘free ASCII editor’ or for ‘free plain text editors’ will provide one with a multitude of free options. Word Press is a popular choice. If all else fails simply use notepad to turn out your masterpiece.

6. Spelling and Grammar:

Once you have your article or Blog run it through a good spell checker and a good grammar checker. Microsoft Word works well for these purposes. Just don’t use the MS Word copy for publication of your article. Rather use it’s suggestions to make any necessary corrections to your plain text copy. The MS Word copy will work for Blogs although the Computerman prefers other editors.

Just like the days when you were pushed by Profs, you will find Article and Blog writing skills become easier with time and practice.

7. Publish and Announce:

Once your Blog is ready you may want to use some automatic tools to publish and announce it. First do a search for Blog hosts and select those which best suit your needs. Join one or more and publish your Blog there. Then search for Blog announcers and rss announcers and use them to get your Blog noticed.

Now that you have that out of the way find an article wizard that will post your Articles to free publishers. You can post them one at a time by hand if you are really bored and have absolutely nothing else in life to do. Using an automatic poster you can publish to hundreds of hosts in an hour or so. The only way to go.

8. Patience:

Now, have some patience. Here is where you lose control. Many of the men and women who host articles are timely and your articles will be reviewed within twenty-four (24) to forty-eight (48) hours. But, many others will be days and weeks down the road therefore never date an article – a sure way to get rejected.

9. Rejection – “sorry your article has been declined”:

Be prepared for most hosts to reject your articles. Do not take it personally. It usually has little to do with you or your article.

Some databases routinely reject articles for spelling errors when there are none or where there is more than way to spell a word. And, just as in any other endeavor some hosts are simply too lazy and get so far behind, the easiest and fastest thing to do (and perhaps the only alternative) is to reject everything. You will learn who these are over time.

Then there are those who run your articles through the sausage grinder and if they find certain words, irrespective of how they are used, your article gets no farther. These are the people who can’t publish the Holy Bible because it contains words that offend them or their readers. Don’t worry about these folks who are so heavenly minded they are of no earthly use.

Remember, just as in everything else in life, for every rule there is an exception

10. Keep the faith, and keep cranking out articles:

Since most authors, especially newbies, prepare only one copy of an article against the advice of most seasoned authors it is important that the newbie keep his chin up – keep the faith. That will be easier as more and more of your articles are accepted and published driving visitors to your website while creating those all important back links.

It is not necessary that every host to accept everything submitted to them. After one or two hosts publish your article on any given subject, the search engines tend to penalize you anyway by ignoring additional postings. This is close to spamming and while it could help someone find you, it probably won’t. It is not necessarily, the more the merrier. The additional listings will not increase your page rankings or links reported by the search engines. It is more important to get published by hosts with the highest Google page rank possible.

Now, one BONUS TIP for you: Along with “the rejection slip” will usually come a suggestion on how to “fix” your article and a request that you resubmit it. Don’t waste your time. While trying comply with one database manager’s request you could have written a new article from which you get much more punch. Enough publishers will pick your article up so move on and save yourself some time and heartburn.

Everybody has a thought or idea at least once a day usually at the most inopportune time. How many good ideas have you lost because of waiting? Don’t procrastinate! Go! Capture that thought before it is gone forever.

We’ve all heard it… “Content IS King” and for good reason because it IS as far as the Internet is concerned.

And when it comes to web surfers, they come online for two reasons, One is to check there email and reason number Two is to search the web for “Information”.

How do you think the Internet received the reputation as the “Information Super-Highway”?

Because thats what its primary purpose was before they decided to commercialize it to what it is today.

And… what do ‘Article’ contain?

The answer is quite simple… “Information”.

Best Article Submission Software

Why should you submit articles to online directories? Article marketing is no new thing. Many small and large businesses have been doing this for a very long time. The main reason why webmasters submit articles to directories is to promote their products and services online. Furthermore, using an article submitter offers you the ability to increase visitors through linking practices. In addition, building thousands of back-links to your website will increase your daily visitors from 300 to 20,000 unique visitors per month.

A webmaster always promotes their products, services, and special offers to the internet world. For example, if you develop new products and choose to market them on-line, publishing to 250 or 500 article directories could take months or even years! Furthermore, with an article submission software you can be done within a few minutes. Some webmasters might think this is not the right way to market products or services. However, I want you to think about this, do you think Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines index the Internet by hand? No way! The point I’m trying to make is that software makes things a lot faster to do.

Running your own online business involves marketing, promoting, and distributing your content. Lets face it, your website is a business. Getting more customers to your web site involves publishing new and unique content. Making sales involves creating a value and satisfying your customer’s needs and wants. What I am trying to say to you; it is best to create different versions of the articles you are submitting to online directories. This will help create a “hook” or a unique view point. I will be the first one to come out and say it, I hate spam and the search engines don’t like spam. However, you may want to use article marketing in a creative way to help increase visitors to your online website.

Article submission software should always have between 125 to 1000 article directories within the software package. Using a article submission submitter can help you increase targeted online traffic to your website fast and easy. For example, organic search engine placement (SEO) can help increase visitor traffic to your article and in return you get more online traffic to your website storefront. Using “archor” text links within your body text or publishing them at the bottom of the article can help visitors click through to your main site. I have used article submission software to help my site reach the top of search engines and you should be doing the same.

When using an article submitter software you will see a increase in your website traffic stats. Moreover, your sales will not only increase, but skyrocket over 1500% or even more. I saw my sales increase 362% overnight. I just wanted to say this, there’s a lot of targeted online traffic that you need to tap. The most successful online businesses use article submission tools and software to help get more traffic. Lastly, before you consider to buy an article submitter you should research and find the facts.

Fast SEO For Articles And Blogs

SEO is something that every website owner needs to be using, but very few actually grasp the concept completely. They don’t know how to make this work for them and end up with too many keywords. With keyword stuffing, it’s likely that Google will come down hard, registering the person as a spammer.

Search engine optimization is actually fairly simple. As long as one has the right keywords, careful optimization will ensure higher rankings.

The keywords are the toughest part of this process. They need to be hot words that people are searching for on Google, but with very little competition. The fewer competitive sites, the better . . . But it is still necessary to have a high number of searches. This can be difficult to find and is something that can be learned through repeated practice.

With so many free tools online, there’s no need to pay for keyword research most of the time. You’ll find everything you need online for nothing. Basically, keywords and phrases should have at least 100 searches to make them worthwhile. They also should have no more than 50,000 in competition, or it will be impossible to beat them all out for the top rankings.

Once the keywords have been selected, it’s time to use them in articles and blog posts. Whether these are for the website or for another site, the technique is the same. There should be only a handful of keywords per article with one being the main keyword that the article or post is focused around.

As an example, the main keyword might be “sweet apple”, while the secondary keywords could be “green tree” and “flowers”. The primary keyword appears more than the other two, but all three would be used in the content.

The main keyword, which may also be the only one that is being used, should be included at the beginning of the title. In each blog post title, it’s important to include the keyword. It’s not always easy and sometimes you will need to use punctuation like “Whiskey Shots: A Better Way to Drink”, where whiskey shots is the keyword. This makes it easy for the search engines to pick it all up.

All of the top words need to appear in the first and last paragraphs of the content. Longer articles will need more instances in the middle of the text. Overall, there should be about 1-2% keyword density, the number of times keywords are used in every 100 words. It’s important for all the keyword phrases, even those in another language, to be used exactly as written, or the page won’t rank for them.

Add an extra SEO point to the text by using bold or italics for the primary keywords in the first paragraph. This can really help the search spiders find keywords and give them a bit more weight. Any articles that will be submitted to directories should use the same keywords in the bio box. In fact, another way to increase the power is to use them as anchor text for links back to the website.

Running a successful E-commerce website measures up with your products showing visibility in the search results ahead to the market players. And this needs more attention if the products are the same as the competitor’s. This is where E-commerce and Search Engine Optimization meet.

The trump card for marketing techniques will apparently rely on increasing ranks and ratings. When someone types in a keyword that just happens to be what your content and product is based on; well, of course you want the famous bars such as Google, Yahoo, and Live to send out results to consumers with your domain. This is done with Search Engine Optimization.

E-commerce that relies on search engines to bring in traffic. The flow of hits and visits rely on the content and keywords used to apply meta tags. Quality of websites depend on the quality of content and product. As you can see, all three components spell success. It might be a good idea to market products and services through other webmaster’s sites; with their permission of course.

The quality of Internet business is whether or not it is user friendly with easy and executable functions that are not misleading. A good way to gain some insight in how to effectively implement search rankings, is to see how the other pages do it. Mimic their methods but do not duplicate or plagiarise their content. Search engines will provide the sponsored links and web pages when one types in a keyword. Based on that keyword is how web pages get the traffic. It might be good practice to find a keyword that is less commonly used, that way there is less competitors and the chance to get on the top of the list becomes greater.

Duplication and plagiarism is very serious and will result in bans or suspension if found out. Not everyone does it on purpose and some even self-plagiarize. It is important to possess a program that will detect duplication before actually publishing. This will avoid any embarrassment and humiliation. Give your content unique keywords and writing to preserve the integrity of them.

When search engines compare a web page to another, they will look for a precise percentage and above that, they might be considered duplicates. When this comes in, the search engine throws out all the other duplicated web pages and keeps the first one.

Final Thoughts

There is a substantial amount of difficulty for competitors who basically sell the same thing. When they are constantly trying to lower operating costs and consumer costs, this substantially reduces profitability. E-commerce and search optimization is the primary objective when it comes to marketability. Marketing is all about hook, line, and sinker. Providing quality content and descriptions is significant and I caution you to take the extra care and steps in order to provide them.

There are many article marketing tools that you can use to make the process of distributing your articles easier. The best way to do this is with a service called the Unique Article Wizard. However, although this is invaluable in getting your article exposed to more sites, there are common mistakes that some people make before submitting their articles to directories.

Let us take a look at the most common mistakes made in 3 key areas:

1) Confusing the reason to promote articles with the reason for writing them.

In article writing, the main benefits of you promoting them is lead generation, and, list building and website promotion, which are all part of your optimization efforts.

However, there is one reason why you write articles, and that is to inform your audience about a subject. It is greatly important that your article is based upon this fact, or else you stand to fail in the promotional benefits as outlined above.

Of course, it is also highly important that you figure out how to get people to read you article, and then to click on your site link in the resource box. I have produced a couple of articles that cover these areas so please check them out :-) .

2) Failing to realize and maximize the promotional opportunities of article marketing.

You will more than likely already know that your article can generate links back to your website from the article directories themselves, and also from any websites who publish your article from these article directories. However, did you know that you can attract more visitors and better search engine results from the same article?

The first step to achieving this is to provide relevant keywords at strategic places in the article. However, do not overdo this. A good benchmark is to aim for between a ten to fifteen percent keyword density. I won’t go further into this here as I’ve discussed this in other articles but if you would like to find out more, look out for more of my article marketing articles.

You shouldn’t just aim for your article to be accepted by article directories, but should ultimately aim for it to be used by publishers who scour the directories for website content. You should not underestimate the potential that this can have on your promotional efforts, as many of these publishers may have hundreds or thousands of regular visitors who could then view your article.

Start out by having a plan of what you want achieved and make sure that you reach your targets. It is important to do this so that you can reap the maximum benefits of every article that you write.

3) Creating articles with content that does not help your readers.

Maybe your only plan is to create an article and get links back from article directories, and that any visitor that you may get from this is fine.

Many article directories buckle down on the amount of articles that they accept that are simply not up to standard. And even if a poorly written, uninformative article does make it into the article sites, then the potential of being picked up by webmasters seeking quality content is certainly lost.

The benefits of one publisher with a hundred thousand website visitors picking up your article should be enough incentive for you to write an informative article. This is by no means impossible, and you may find that this value is conservative in what you may achieve from a number of publishers running your article on their site.

Researching into a topic that is sought after is important. There may be many readers of this article who will feel that this information is all well and good but feel that they cannot write an article well, or may not know enough about a certain subject to write an article. This is by no means a dead-end. There are many places where you can research into a topic, or hiring a writer might be an option worth considering.

The choice really is yours on how dedicated you are in increasing the exposure of your article, and consequently your website. On a basic level you can choose to gain a few backlinks from article directories, or with a little more effort you can enjoy massive exposure from providing quality content to hundreds of article directories and websites with a service like the Unique Article Wizard.
